It’s fall season, and with winter just around the corner, more and more you see in the stores leggings for girls and toddlers. Is this just a fashion trend or is there a reasonable use for these trendy leggings?

Many of the fashion trends are followed by real needs. For example, hats in the summer can protect from the sun and exposure to the wind, however in the winter, the same hat will protect you from the snow or rain. Footless tights follow the same pattern and although very popular in the fall and winter, to protect from the cold weather, they can also be worn in the summer to protect from the sun rays.

Usually Leggings for girls are worn under a dress or skirt to compliment the outfit, turning a look that is boring into something sassy. However fashionable they may seem; baby, toddler and girls need the protection that these leggings can offer. In the spring and summer when the pollen is in the air, often times, babies and toddlers will have allergies that can be minimized by protecting the skin from the outdoor environment with leggings. They can also serve the purpose of protecting the skin from the sun rays or wind when playing in the park or in the back yard.

In the winter, keeping the bodies warmth is very important and can be achieved with the use of leggings. Under a dress, skirt or loose pants, these leggings are equally important to protect baby, toddler and girls’ legs from the harmful effects of cold and windy weather.

Although the intention was to create a product to protect skin from the outdoor influences, leggings turned into a fashion trend that has lasted many years. They are available in many different styles in a variety of colors. Usually made of polyester and cotton, giving them a tight fit, can be purchased with lace, different fabric styles, with and without rhinestones, embroidered.

The latest style of leggings for baby, toddler and girls are lace leggings made of 100% cotton for comfort.  Lace leggings for baby, toddlers and girls were made to follow the comeback of vintage style skirts and dresses.

Whether you are looking to purchase Lace Leggings  for it’s use or fashion, this is a must to every baby girl’s closet! After all, don’t you want your baby to be the most stylish girl in town?

What is the Difference Between Junior and Missy Sizing?

Knowing the difference between junior and missy sizing is an important part of knowing your correct sizes. When you know which category you fit into, you are able to find a better fit and more flattering styling. So what is the difference?

While there is no one rule to fit every design, here is a basic guideline to help you decide which sizing style works best for you. There are two ways of looking at the differences between junior and missy sizing, style and size/ shape.

Generally, junior sizes are designed for a younger age group. The fit for junior sizes is usually more suitable for the still developing junior body. Typically junior sizes have a straighter, less curvy shape with a smaller bust and hips to better fit a teen shape. Junior clothing is often closer-fitting and more youthfully styled.

Many designers use odd numbers to display junior sizes such as 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, or 11. Junior size 13 is usually the upper limit of sizes, but some designers extend their size range to a size 19. Tops will often be sized XXS, XS, S, M, L, and XL and are shaped in the junior styling.

The missy sizes are often considered the “average” size woman. The designs are fit for any age, and there is a large assortment of missy size fashions on the market today.

Many designers use even numbers to display missy sizes such as 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12. Missy size 18 is often the upper limit of sizes, though some designers extend their size range to a size 20 or even 24. Missy tops will often be sized XS, S, M, L, XL, and XXL and are styled to flatter the more average size woman. The difference between sizes is generally 1-inch. This is true for both junior and missy size ranges.

Men’s Polo Shirts

Men’s polo shirts are a vogue style for which the composition is long or short sleeve, and do not button or fasten at the front. Polo shirts are pull over and should be used for occasional or ceremonial apparel, all depending on the adornments. Wear a long sleeve polo shirt with a exquisite blazer for a date or to the more casual setting. Long sleeve pull over polo’s with a short sleeved t-shirt over them are used for any climate, as you can remove the t-shirt if it gets hot, but the tightness of the polo allows for wear in inclimate weather as well. Women find this style very sexy, as you look like a casual guy who can haul in wood if needed. Short sleeve polo’s are the casual polo shirts in men’s fashion, but by clarification polo is any shirt but a t-shirt or tank top, as they usually are fabricated from a knit material and have short collars.

They can also be worn for sporting events such as golf or tennis, and other casual sporting events. They are known to being a “weekend” style shirt by the more buttoned-up buyer. Cotton jersey mix are the most usual, and the overall fashion does not alternate much, which means owning three or four in your closet of different colours means you will never have to worry that the one you are wearing is out of style. Ralph Lauren, Fred Perry – these are names which are popular but also further afield we find Great Republic, Chestnut Hill, and Harriton are the leading manufacturers of polo fashion shirts today.

Mystery Shopping 101 – How to Get Started

Have you ever thought about working as a Mystery Shopper? The following tutorial will provide you with the information and links necessary to start your own business as an Independent Shopper. I have worked as both a mystery shopper and as a merchandiser for just over 12 years.

You can work the system as a job… signing up with companies, establishing a route and schedule… which will reward you with a nice income. Working three days a week for several years I averaged 25,000 – 30,000 a year in cash or items.

Understand it takes time to become established. Once you have worked your way into the rotations of the different recruiters, you will have more work offers than you care to handle! A word of caution on saying no… if the company needs the work completed and you refuse the assignment… they will find another shopper in your area. From that point on, you are now competing for assignments. Consider accepting the assignment and asking someone to help you with it instead of declining the work.

Getting Started:

This is a super link to all the major mystery shopping companies and merchandising jobs.

Starting point… VOLITION.COM

On this page, click Get Paid in left side bar – this will open up links offering work.

Click on Get Paid to Shop on Center of page

On this page, you can sign up for their email… I would suggest signing up with a new email account so you are not overloaded with emails in your regular account. Perhaps setting up a new Gmail account? You can of course use your regular email. I signed up under a new email and then when I started working for a company, I would just change my email to the one that was hooked to my PayPal for easier payments.

Under the yellow box… there is a listing..

Mystery Shopping Companies List… A-G, H-P, Q-Z

Names Starting with: A-G ~ H-P ~ Q-Z

On each page there are a dozen or so companies. Each requires their own application. Start with the first one and look at the types of shops and the locations they are shopping. If it is something you think you may be interested in doing, sign up for them.

Most will ask for a sample of your writing. They are just looking for a recent experience similar to the example at the end of this article. You SHOULD write in a word processor and just copy/paste as needed. Otherwise you will end up doing a lot of writing!

It takes about 3 months to get working and in the rotation. Remember there are two types of work…

Mystery Shopping – you are undercover (usually) and spend your own money to be reimbursed at a later date. (Great for dining out, hotels, golfing, etc.)

Merchandising – you are sent to a store to install, clean, reset, etc… there is no money on your part… paid for your time and effort. These are usually seasonal or for a set time (12 weekly visits, twice a month)… ongoing work that you can schedule on your own so you can line up a day of work at several locations. Once you go into a store, you will have to sign into the vendor book. While in the book, look to see what other companies are sending people and apply to them!!! I picked up more work this way!!

Back on the main page.. @ Volition ( http://www.volition.com/mystery.html )

Click on Demos and Merchandising ( http://www.volition.com/merchandise.html )

Again sign up if they are in your area or for work you are willing to do.

A few points…

1. NEVER pay to sign up or be certified!!!!

2. Watch deadlines or restrictions on how often you can shop.

3. Take pictures on your phone when things are bad so you can prove your negative statements.

Example of Narrative:

Reservations were made with Anna on 9/8/12 @ 9:10am. This was processed in a professional manner. I was told to have “a lovely day” when our interaction was complete. I was not asked for my email address and therefore did not receive a written confirmation of my reservation.

We were greeted as we approached the hostess desk by Tiffany. She confirmed the number in our party and asked if we preferred a table or a booth. Once we were seated she placed the menus on the table and advised us that Rozz would be right with us.

Rozz arrived at the table within 30 seconds and greeted us warmly. She inquired if we were having a good morning and whether we wanted coffee as she had a fresh pot coming out. We ordered juice and coffee. Rozz went on to explain the buffet options and commented that she could have our eggs prepared anyway we wanted them cooked. Once our order was completed, she invited us to head to the buffet when we were ready and commented that she would check back with us in just a few minutes.

The buffet was a plethora of choices. Pastries, fruit, bread, as well as a full breakfast selection of hot items. The food was presented in a logical order and was clearly marked. Items were replaced quickly by the staff.

Our check was placed on the table at the first check back by Rozz. She replenished our coffee cups several times. Each visit included casual bantering. She was observed interacting with other guests beside her own tables. Several guests were addressed by name.

We were thanked and told to have a great day. As we were leaving the restaurant, Tiffany called out, “Goodbye. Have a nice day.”

Doris was on call in the concierge lounge. She greeted us as we entered but did not offer any explanation to the offerings or process of serving ourselves. Doris was cleaning off several tables and continued to pick up around the room throughout our visit. The main hot item was scrambled eggs with a large variety of toppings. Muffins, bread, bagels, and sliced fresh fruit were also on the counter. Several types of juices were on display as well as coffee and hot water for tea. There were five choices of types of teas. Honey, sugar and sweeteners were available.

We were thanked as we were leaving.

Additional notes:

1. Elise processed check in with a cheerful, outgoing, upbeat attitude. She walked around the counter and escorted me about half the way to the elevators. I was told that she was on duty until 11:30pm if I needed anything at all to call her.

2. DeeDee took my call for assistance in the morning. The blow dryer would not work and I called the desk to request another one. She indicated that she would report it to maintenance and that they would be around when they could. No one came within the hour before I had to leave.

3. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner in the restaurant with Danielle as our server. She was entertaining and such a joy to interact with as she met all of our dining needs. She is attentive to details and seems to enjoy interacting with the guests.

4. Diane was on duty in the concierge lounge during the evening. She chatted with each guest and made her way around the room making everyone comfortable. Several of the guests were greeted by name.

English Laundry brings true sophistication back to fashion.

The Joy of Shopping – Seeing Is Believing

The world has changed much since I was a girl. Like a wild roller coaster that accelerates for zero to sixty in the blink of an eye the world has begun to move in fast forward. It could be that I am simply getting along in years and the older I get the slower I get which would make things seem to be speeding up. But I’m not that old, and if I was, I would not enjoy thinking about it.

By like nature herself, people must learn to adapt, and although it adaptation gets to be a painful process with the coming of age, I none the less bend my will to the dictated of reality.

After this brief introduction about me being an “old-timer” I think you would lend me some credit for my accomplishments in learning some of the modern technology. When I was young there was no such thing as cell phones and the word “internet” might as well have been in a foreign language. But as the years went by and these innovations were developed I have had to learn how to use them. For me, the mere use of a computer as I am doing now is a tremendous achievement, although I still have some trouble with my smart phone…

But my interest is not in talking about the fact that I am willing to change. Because although I am more than willing use whatever comes out for my advantage there is one element that I simply will not use and I think that it can’t be used properly. No, I am not here to condemn the entire internet, but I am going to submit an official complaint about shopping for clothing online. This is something I really don’t understand and have a serious problem with.

How does a woman go online to buy clothing?! In my opinion there is nothing that can replace trying on a dress or a blouse in a real dressing room. Going into a store and seeing a pretty dress on a nice mannequin is the only way for me to know what is new. When I see a dress on a mannequin I know that it is there and I want to try it on. I then take it off the rack and see how it looks on me in a nice full size mirror.

How is someone supposed to know what will fit her if she has not tried it on? Form looking at the way a dress looks on a perfect model that is six feet tall and weighs a hundred and five pounds? How on earth is that supposed to be helpful/ how are you supposed know what to get when there is an endless amount of things to choose form.

My final opinion is this; nothing can replace going into an actual store and trying something on for yourself, not the internet or anything else. In this regard I am and will be old school to the end.

Beijing Shopping Advice

Beijing is a city of both history and modern. Most travelers were impressed by those old buildings, world heritage sites and historical relics when they first travel to the ancient city. But when they stay longer and get to know it better, they may find that Beijing is actually a very modern city where you can easily go nightlife, international cuisine and endless shopping.

Shopping in Beijing is very exciting and easy. Driving around the streets, you will pass by numerous stylistic stores, shopping malls and markets. You can buy almost anything you want here and get them with cheap prices.

If you are a traveler and want to buy souvenirs, that’s easy. There are many markets in and around the tourist attractions, or inside the city shopping malls. Souvenirs can be jade, pearl, Chinese fans, chopsticks, cloisonné, Chinese art crafts, tea and silk etc. Most souvenirs in street side stores are very cheap and allow bargaining.

If you want to buy cheap clothes, hats, shoes or bags, Silk Market, Yaxiu market and pearl market can be the choices. The three markets has been the most popular shopping markets among international tourists, because these markets have great variety of products to choose from, and the sales person can speak English that makes communication easier.

For electronic products, Zhongguancun, or Silicon Valley, can be the first choice. There are many huge shopping malls in Zhongguancun area where you can buy PC, camera, cell phone, mp4 and all kinds electronics. When you plan to go shopping in Zhongguancun, it is better to ask a local Chinese to go with you because he may help you communicate and bargain.

Or if you don’t want the bargaining place, you may choose to go shopping in large shopping malls whose prices are usually fixed. Though their prices might be a bit higher than that of markets, they can insure you a better quality and genuine.

What Kind Of Coat Do You Need

How many coats does a women need? In the 1950s, a woman needed at least five coats: a winter coat, a coat for spring and fall, a summer coat, a raincoat, and an evening coat. The emphasis is on the words “at least” because any one who could afford it owned these coats in several colors, styles and fabrics. As a result wardrobes were full of coats because every season women bought new clothes that need new matching coats.

The modern woman has fewer coats although she would prefer to have more. But because she often wears jackets it makes no sense to have a special coat for every occasion and certainly not every recreational activity. Nevertheless, a well-equipped wardrobe should contain apart from changing fashion trends and personal preferences, at least the following kinds of coats: a dark wool coat for business that can also be worn in the evening, a second, this time brown, wool coat that can be used for the office, smart casual and relaxed weekends, and a light raincoat for rainy weather.

What about the length? Ever since skirts became knee-length in the 1920s, ankle-length coats have not been necessary. They come back into fashion now and again but they do not play a major part in the classic wardrobe. But although ankles no longer need to be covered, the coat must always be longer than the skirt to prevent the creation of an unintentional layered look. The most suitable and versatile is the fairly straight, below the knee length coat, but the very straight version of the mini era and short coat of the 1990s are also very popular. Women who wear trousers have more choice so far as length is concerned, in that they can follow the fashion or their own taste.

Coats are the most versatile items in a wardrobe because they have to go with almost everything. Those who only wear red or who never venture out in anything but black will naturally need a red or black coat. Everyone else will prefer a neutral shade such as beautiful beige or a light charcoal. Patterns should be used with caution unless they are the traditional, classic ones, and even these cannot be wholeheartedly recommended. Although patterns such as herringbone, dog’s tooth check and pepita have been popular for decades, like all patterns they restrict the possibilities of combination. Structured fabrics are an alternative for those who want to avoid plain fabrics. These provide a more interesting surface texture but do not distract with loud patterns or too many colors.
